Hi, my name is Adam Muir. I am a PhD candidate in the School of Arts @ Griffith University, in Australia.
My doctorate research project is entitled Internetwork Ecology - which is an examination of the internet (and other related on- and off-line media practises) using concepts from internet studies, network science, biological ecology and media ecology.
I am a tutor / teaching assistant and also a sessional lecturer in the areas of communication and media studies, journalism, cultural studies, new media and (particularly) internet studies.
Although I’ve been blogging in some form since 2000 (initially it was a primative html-table-based research journal for my honours dissertation), I’m relatively new to serious academic blogging.
When I began this blog it was meant to be about everyday examples of things that I was studying for my dissertation but the actual dissertation work was getting in the way of regular posting here, so I’m away temporarily. I’ll be back later, I guess.
